Mia in the Month of May

Mia's been having fun at day-care, playing with her friend Jordan, laughing, sucking her thumb more and generally enjoying life. She's sleeping better, we're sleeping better and the neighbors are probably sleeping better. She's absolutely the best baby ever.

Mia's First East Coast Trip


Just a quick post to update everyone on our trip to east coast. We took off last week to attend a wedding in Cape Cod. Mia's first plane ride. She did really well. She slept through most of it and only cried a few times -- though changing her diaper 3 or 4 times in one of those tiny bathrooms wasn't fun. We flew into Boston Wednesday then drove down to Connecticut to visit Alli's parents. The following day Nanie and Grampie threw a kind of open-house party for Mia. About 200 people showed up. Friday we drove down to the Cape for the wedding -- Nanie, Grampie and Auntie Amy babysat while Alli and I got our first big chunk of baby-free-time.

It was a busy but fun trip.

Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Chad and Auntie Mariya come to town

Things have been crazy but my brother and his wife were finally able to make it out to the left coast to see Mia. My mom's birthday was last Friday as well so my dad flew her out here. It was the first time the whole family has been together in a while. We ate good food (The Slanted Door was amazing), walked around the Marina and played with Mia a lot. Here's pics.

Talkin' to Dada

I think we've mentioned Mia's new found love of her playmat and her increasing skills in vocalizing. It continues. Here are some pics of Mia and I playing and talking. We really need to post some video of this kind of stuff 'cause her voice is so cute.
